**CANPACK** is a **leading manufacturer of aluminium beverage cans**. We have the latest manufacturing equipment and control technology. We are able to **produce very high-quality cans** in 15cl, 25cl, 33cl, 44cl and 50cl sizes (other size cans are made within Can Pack Group).

This position is working on a **rotating shift** pattern **8am-8pm, 8pm-8am rotating shift pattern.**

**The duties of this post include**:

- Counterbalance Forklift operation and handling.
- Inspecting the technical state of the Fork-Lift-Truck and other handling equipment before starting work to determine the need for repairs to guarantee safely performing machinery
- Reporting any faults and breakdowns of the Fork-Lift-Truck to Warehouse Supervisor
- Loading goods or other materials onto the truck for transportation in accordance with work security regulations/instructions from the Warehouse Supervisor using FLT
- Unloading goods, packaging, raw materials and other from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places using FLT
- Moving stock/goods using forklift in warehouses according to the instructions of the supervisor
- Using the SAP RFID scanning system equipment correctly following set orders and the Warehouse Supervisor assigned tasks to ensure accuracy of inventory.
- Transporting materials to the production department complying with FIFO procedures
- Operate low-lift pallet truck whenever there is a need for loading e.g. sea containers
- Cleaning fork-Lift-Trucks and other handling equipment in accordance with ISO and BRC standards
- Getting involved in general labouring duties when the forklift is not required. This will include general housekeeping, removing rubbish etc within the warehouses and surrounding grounds
- Selecting/sorting packaging materials
- Comply with all environmental requirements as stipulated in ISO 14001 and BRC procedures and guidelines on health & safety.
- Comply with all health & safety regulations, rules, procedures, and policies.
- Always using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Previous Forklift operator experience.
