CornerStone is a leading independent Security Risk Consultancy, and we are now looking for a Bid Author to join our established award-winning team. The bid author will be responsible for completing PQQs, RFPs, and ITTs for both public and commercial sector opportunities to support winning new business for CornerStone under the guidance of the Sales Director. In addition, they will produce presentation, blog and other marketing collateral to support our Sales and Marketing activity.

**Objectives of This Role**
- Lead the preparation and production of professionally written proposals that ensure CornerStone’s solutions are described and expressed in a compelling and consistent manner
- Fulfil client requirements and explain complex issues in a clear and concise way that demonstrates appropriately selected value propositions
- Create positive and accurate responses to all questions

**Crucial Skills and Competencies**
- Ability to answer not only the overt questions posed within the bid enquiry, but to address the subliminal questions that relate to CornerStone’s capability, experience and competency
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to write persuasively and creatively
- Commercial awareness and business acumen
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines at once
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Ability to work within a team to obtain the necessary information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Knowledge and understanding of a range of security services

**Experience Needed**
- 5 years of bid writing experience and a track record of winning bids
- Knowledge of bid writing in a professional consultancy services arena is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of security consultancy for cyber-physical security, risk, design, project management is advantageous but not essential

**Daily and Monthly Responsibilities**
- Produce bids to the client deadline
- Assist with the writing of marketing material that is aligned with our strategic objectives
- Maintain and update our content library
