Financial Accounting Intern

**Company Description**:
**Red Bull UK is recruiting for a Financial Accounting Intern to be based in London, UK.**
The world of Red Bull is constantly changing. For our stakeholders, this can create amazing opportunities, but it may also involve new and unknown risks. During the Internship you will focus on business and regulatory opportunities, ensuring our finance business partnering framework is best in class. While doing this you will also have opportunities for a focused and personalised development plan ensuring you are given the space to explore your potential. This is a paid internship. The internship runs from the 10th June 2024 to 6th September 2024. You must be available for the whole duration of the programme.
**Support with Month End Close**
Learn the fundamentals of a Month End Close cycle and assist the finance function in delivering a high quality month end close. Support with monthly invoicing process for advertising partners.
**Developing and Enhancing Business Unit Reporting Packs**
Work with the Financial Accountants to develop and enhance monthly reporting packs for Red Bull Media House UK, providing improved transparency of performance as well as create greater governance. Working closely with the production and marketing teams to further expand your knowledge of the media industry and provide financial insights to key stakeholders. Support engagement in process design and continuous improvement projects
**Business Partnering**
Establish a key internal finance network, becoming a credible Business Partner at all levels. Support our colleagues at HQ in researching and developing the next wave of Global Finance initiatives to be rolled out across the group.
**Qualifications**:
A keen interest in Financial Accounting and the day-to-day operation of a Finance function
A desire to learn and “get things done”
Curious about the wider business and development opportunities
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Numeracy and an eye for detail, capable of working quickly to a high standard of accuracy
Communicate information effectively verbally and in writing with use of graphical tools as necessary
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products.
Experience with SAP ERP a plus, but not essential
Uses problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure, prioritising own work and the work of the team in an organised and accurate manner within tight deadlines, keeping calm and focussed
Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
