Ideally, you're a professional warehouse operative looking to forward your career in warehouse operations. If you like to work hard, whilst still having fun and can fit into a small team but act on your own initiative this could be the job for you.

This is a support role, so you’ll have every opportunity to get involved with all sorts of activities to meet the goal of increasing efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you’ll be involved with the following activities:

- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform regular stock checks and stock takes
- Keep a clean and safe working environment
- Communicate and cooperate with the Warehouse Manager and co-workers
- Operate PC based dispatch software and create product labels. Maintain warehouse equipment, order supplies etc.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

You will also be expected to carry out ad-hoc duties including general property maintenance, cleaning company vehicles and any other general office duties
- On-going training equips our team with the skills they need to do their job. But we can’t train attitude. So when we recruit, we look for enthusiastic, committed people who share our values and understand that our clients always come first._

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Physically fit
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Must have a good attitude towards work
- Must be reliable
- Good attention to detail
- Forklift experience is an advantage, but not essential

The role will be permanently based at our warehouse near South Woodham Ferrers, we are a rurally located and public transport is not available, so you will need use of your own vehicle. The hours are 9am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am - 4pm Friday, with 30 minutes for lunch.
