**Job Purpose**
- Perform audits to verify that all procedures and practices relating to site operations is being complied with and maintained in line with legal food safety requirements, company policy, and agreed customer’s standards.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Conduct scheduled/ planned various internal audits including good manufacturing practices (GMP), HACCP Critical Control Points (CCP), Glass audits, Peripheral & Fabrication Audits.
- Responsible for auditing documentation in relation to the production process to ensure it is completed accurately and ensuring any issues identified are raised with the relevant departmental heads.
- Carry out verification checks to a set frequency for the In line Checkweighers, scales and temperature probes to ensure they are operating correctly
- Monitoring and verifying that standards laid down in the product specification for intermediate and finished products are achieved.
- Liaise with the Quality Manager concerning day-to-day factory issues and attend the daily departmental performance review meeting to update on key metrics as well as agree on improvement measures.
- Raise non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are monitored and implemented.
- Investigate consumer and customer complaints, communicating findings to Technical Management and to the appropriate factory personnel.
- Conduct traceability exercises to the required schedule.
- Carry out environmental manual temperature checks to the required schedule.
- Collect retained samples and maintain the QA sample shelves in an orderly manner
- Preparing, conducting and supervise daily taste panels ensuring all the relevant paperwork is completed and raising any issues to Production and Technical Management.
- Attend factory trials where arranged and help generate suitable slicing specifications with NPD Department for factory use. Assist the NPD department with the current and new product photograph specifications/standards to improve focus and awareness.
- Collate all process control documentation on a shift basis for sign off, and to subsequently maintain a filing system. Reporting all issues to the relevant line leaders / area supervisors.
- Ensure factory rules are being adhered to by all Karro Haverhill staff & agency staff at all times.
- Support continuous improvement in all areas of the operation where greater efficiency, hygiene, quality and safety could be achieved.
- Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by Technical management.
- Flexibility will be expected to cover late shift and Low Risk as and when required. There may be occasions when overtime or weekend work may be required to meet the demands of the business.
- Conduct swabbing and sampling against risk assessed schedule and adhoc to aid in investigations.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Experience of conducting internal audits within a food factory
- Experience of working within a FMCG Company in a QA capacity
- Knowledge of Technical procedures and practices relating to internal auditing
- Knowledge of microbiology and hygiene
- Knowledge of pest control
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent
- Qualification in auditing
- Attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills
