Job Introduction
**Brief Description**

Develop and deliver a strategic solution for collection and visualisation of lead and lag KPI’s across TRU together with improvement of data quality, establishment of trusted source data (Master Data) and extensive automation of reports.

Main Responsibilities
**Some of the key accountabilities of this role are**:
1. Direct the production and maintenance of the analytics strategy and plan for enhancing the programmes visualisation and reporting capability as an input to decisions regarding performance improvement and sustainability, satisfying the needs of the programme.

2. Drive continuous improvement across TRU

3. Develop and maintain a programme to automate the majority of performance reporting within TRU with associated resource saving.

4. Own the development and delivery of a Master Data Management strategy (with emphasis on data quality) to measure accurately the performance of TRU and rigorously eliminate multiple sources of data and duplicated activities.

5. Create and lead a team of engaged professionals who are motivated to lever the latest technology in performance management including automation.

6. Establish a culture of data transparency and openness of information which extend to suppliers and subcontractors of TRU where that transparency does not compromise commercially sensitive data.

7. Design and deliver long term projects which improve the quality of data, enhanced qualification on data entry and integration with other databases.

8. Represent Programme Management & Controls in internal and external forums in respect of data quality and analytics management.

**We need you to have**:

- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation and Service Delivery qualification
- Significant experience in data quality and analytics improvement.
- Extensive change and project management experience
- Extensive practical experience of performance improvement activity in large organisations
- Experience of systems rollout in an ITIL framework and familiarity with SCO Management Information Systems.

**It would be advantageous if you have**:

- Experience of Power BI reporting tools and use
- Relevant Degree
- Programming experience
- Microsoft office and Visio experience

**Transpennine Route Upgrade**

The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is a Programme of activities that is improving the railway between York and Manchester via Leeds and Huddersfield.

Stretching across the North of England, this key 76-mile Transpennine railway serves 23 stations, crosses over and dips under 285 bridges and viaducts, passes through six miles of tunnels, and crosses over 29 level crossings.

Proposed improvements as will deliver a hard-working, reliable railway for passengers, allowing for trains with more seats, more services and faster journey times.

Package Description
**Role**:Head of Data Quality & Performance

**Salary**:£71,163 to £80,060 per annum

**Car Allowance**:£6,000 per annum

**Location**:Manchester or York

**Contract Type**:Full time - Permanent

**Office Requirement**:Hybrid. 2-3 days per week in the office and the remainder working from home (to be agreed with hiring manager)
