**Hourly Rate**: SCP 9 £10.42 for those interested in providing the non-registered services only.

**Base**: Community working across Gwent

**You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence with appropriate business user insurance and be willing to use your own car. The post holder will be required to undergo an Enhanced Criminal Record check before starting work.**

The purpose of this role is to provide a variety of help at home support to older people aged 50+ living across Gwent. The Help at Home service delivers support and care of the highest standard, assisting individuals with everyday tasks and respite care to allow them to remain living independently within their own homes and communities. We deliver registered services in line with Social Care Wales including respite care and toenail cutting, our non-registered services comprise of domestic and shopping support.

All support is tailored to meet the needs of the individual and at an affordable cost, whilst also promoting their well-being and dignity. You will be proactive but empathetic and will have a passion for supporting older people and be flexible in order to meet service needs.

You will have:

- For non-registered service delivery - experience in a similar role or a qualification in a relevant discipline or a willingness to undertake such a qualification
- IT Skills - ability to use Outlook and Microsoft Excel
- Experience of working with older people
- Ability to deal calmly with emergency and sensitive situations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of data protection - GDPR
- A good working knowledge of the local area
- For non-registered service delivery only - willingness to work flexibly between the hours of 9 - 5pm Monday to Friday and to meet the needs of the business (some occasional weekend work may be required)
