**Learning Support Assistant - Speech & Language Focus**

Our 'Good’ Ofsted graded secondary school based within the borough of Enfield is actively recruiting an articulate, enthusiastic and adaptable Learning Support Assistant to join their fantastic specialist SEN team on an immediate and long-term basis.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support SEN pupils on a daily basis, overseeing the implementation of the bespoke learning plans and preparing resources for use in the classroom setting. The ideal Learning Support Assistant would have experiencein working with children with Autism (ASD / ASC), ADHD and speech, language & communication challenges.

**ROLE: Learning Support Assistant**
- Use strategies to encourage the pupil’s independence.
- Long-term and full-time
- **Daily Pay Rate of £85.00 - £90.00**:

- Immediate start available (DBS Certificate required. We can advise you on how to obtain one of these)
- Support the pupil in developing social awareness and forming friendships.
- Be positive in outlook and flexible and adaptable to the needs of the child.
- Must be willing to assist with personal care requirements on occasions.
- Be responsible for creating engaging activities and ensuring that pupil participates within the class.
- Accompany the child on school trips.
- Observe pupil progress and report all feedback to the Class Teacher.

- Articulate with good interpersonal communication skills.
- Flexible and reliable.
- To be able to work as a member of a team as well as under their own initiative.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- A passion for the enrichment of young people’s lives.
- Experience of working with people of any age with SEN is **essential.**
