_We seek to appoint a Mobile Housekeeper to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and repairs in our refuges and dispersed properties across Manchester and ensure properties (rooms, flats and houses) are ready within strict timescales for new arrivals. The post holder will be a responsible driver and the main user of the company vehicle. _

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness within our dispersed sites which includes although not an exhaustive list: sweeping; mopping; vacuuming; sanitising surfaces and areas, damp dusting surfaces; glass cleaning and emptying bins.
- Preparing and cleaning all void properties inside and out including washing the bedding, completing an inventory check and dealing with repairs.
- Support residents to clean cookers and fridges every month and complete a temperature check of the fridges every month and on void turnover.
- Responsible for keeping a stock of essential household items and ordering cleaning suppliers via the internal purchase order system when stocks are low.
- Undertake any small remedial repairs as appropriate e.g. changing lightbulbs, replacing door handles, securing carpets.
- Report any required repairs, damaged or dangerous equipment to the Buildings Manager or landlord immediately.
- Undertake regular health and safety checks and complete the associated records, under the direction of the Buildings Manager, and be vigilant with regards to standards of health, safety and hygiene and report any areas of concerns to the Buildings Manager.
- Ensure all cleaning products are kept securely in locked cupboards and that all products used comply with COSHH regulations.
- Support the housekeeping function across the organisation by covering hours in communal refuges as required, contributing to team meetings and the review of processes and policies.
- To follow strict MWA confidentiality procedures for all service users and their families.
- To maintain awareness of child protection/safeguarding issues and report any such concerns to a manager as a matter of urgency

**GENERAL**:

- To identify own training and development needs and participate in all training courses relevant to Manchester Women’s Aid commitment to providing high quality services.
- The role is active and requires good health, the applicant must be fit and able to undertake cleaning and lifting where needed.
- Post holder may be required to work in houses with pets.

**OTHER**:

- Must have a current licence to drive in the UK.
- Post is open to women only under the Equality Act 2010, schedule 9, part 1

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £9.90 per hour
