Our Client is a well-established specialist financial services business based in Liverpool. Having been in business over 20 years with over £100m funds under management and between 15 & 20 staff they have ambitious plans for growth and to redefine elementsof their market propositions.

This is a potentially career defining role with the opportunity to be responsible for all elements of an effective marketing function, become a pivotal part of the company’s success and work with colleagues willing and eager to support this success.

Key Duties & Responsibilities -- Responsible for carrying out a full review of all existing marketing activity incl:

- Understanding the ambitions and feedback from the SMT incl. the board
- Gaining a deep understanding of the business and its activities
- Remaining inquisitive around the business’s overall strategy / ongoing activities and identifying marketing opportunities within these
- Formulating, defining and shaping the marketing strategy across digital assets and traditional media incl:

- For the business as a whole incl. the recent rebrand & maximising the impact from a marketing & PR perspective
- For separate funds operating in diverse sectors
- For potential and invested client businesses
- Ownership of social media content (with the Quality & Governance Team), working to constantly improve the digital footprint
- Promote the business with appropriate referral partners such as Financial & Professional Services Businesses, Banks, Other Financial Institutions, Business and Corporate Finance media, other PE / Investment Fund Management businesses and wider businessreferral networks
- On-Boarding and liaising with 3rd party expertise - PR agencies/Publications/Thought Leaders
- If appropriate lead on the formulation of brand guidelines and ensure consistency of message and branding
- When required upgrade digital assets and creatives deploying suitably skilled contractors
- Identify and coordinate brand awareness opportunities such as media thought leadership opportunities, conferences, awards and events throughout the calendar year
- Share in responsibility for Business Development and effective lead generation incl:

- Maintain current networks
- Be aware of competitive landscape
- Drive new opportunities for the business
- With support from D&I champion ensure marketing is diverse and inclusive
- Events management both planning hosts, guest speakers and attendance
- Use of analytics and development of reports to:

- Monitor efficacy of campaigns
- Measure ROI
- Formulate and manage budgets
- Present to the board
- Work internally to ensure tone of voice is consistent with the externally projected proposition
- Facilitate an understanding throughout the organisation of the value of marketing and communications, and the role that each colleague can play
- Participate in weekly WIP calls with investment teams

**Abilities, Skills & Experience -**:

- Up to 3 years’ experience in a Business Partner / Mid-Management Marketing Role
- Relevant degree, further education, or vocational qualification
- Experience of Financial Services / PE or Investment Businesses desirable
- Demonstrable track record of helping develop and deliver successful marketing and PR strategies
- Strong project management skills, ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Data savvy with the ability to collate and extract KPI for effective reporting
- Understanding of operating within a regulatory framework
- Excellent computer literacy, presentation, and written skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at SMT level
- Tenacious and inquisitive
- A good degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a small team and influence a positive culture
- High degree of integrity
