About the role

You will join a highly motivated team of Independent Domestic Violence Advocates, working in one of Wales leading Domestic Abuse Specialist Organisations in **Brecon.**

Within the IDVA role you will be required to address the safety of high-risk victims of domestic abuse from intimate partners, ex-partners, or their family and manage a caseload of adult male and female victims, actively providing short to medium term support, to promote long term recovery from the impact of domestic violence and abuse.

You will work with colleagues and other identified organisations, to promote co-ordinated support and will accomplish clear and measurable, improvements by reducing the risk of escalation, the severity, or the cessation of the incidents of abuse.

You will be responsible for attending and participating in Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) to discuss how to help victims who are high risk of serious harm and to implement all relevant actions from the initial meeting to reduce the risk of significant harm.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

**Salary**: £23,575.00-£24,600.00 per year
