Harrogate, United Kingdom Bettys & Taylors Group Full time

Are you looking for a new challenge that gives you the chance to be creative and use your knowledge of Building Surveying to contribute to the strategic goals of our Group Property Services Team?

As an experienced Property Project Manager (Senior Building Surveyor) who enjoys delivery, you will cover off all aspects of Building Surveying, including project delivery and a planned preventative maintenance programme. You will be responsible to the delivery of new build, refurbishment, and property projects from design through to completion to the requisite time, cost and quality parameters in keeping with Bettys & Taylors Group (BTG) aspirations and standards. This is therefore a critical role in developing our brand and our environment.

Understanding the complexities of delivering building surveying services in office, manufacturing, retail and listed/historic buildings, with the ability to liaise, plan and communicate with multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels is key. This is a varied role and you will need to work with the nuances of a family-owned business, where aesthetics are treasured and valued alongside commerciality.
- Experience of undertaking and updating building surveys, delivering projects and managing and delivering a planned preventative maintenance programme.
- Experience of advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
- Experience of preparing building work specifications, tender documents and packages, delivering projects on time, within budget, of a high standard, and empathetic to a brand
- Great communication skills and ability to communicate well at all levels and build professional, effective relationships quickly.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills and ability to co-ordinate and motivate others
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Project and AutoCAD)

Please note this role will be offered on a fixed term contract.

**What we offer **you**

As a minimum, all our employees receive free meals, drinks and snacks while at work, a discretionary quarterly profit-share bonus, holiday allowance with the option to buy and (in some cases) sell additional days, company-wide employee discounts, access to our health cash plan, wellbeing support, company funded counselling, and enrolment in the company pension.

We also offer a range of development opportunities no matter your role and ambitions. We encourage everyone to explore what makes them the best version of themselves, and we do this through external training programmes, apprenticeships and internal 1:1 coaching schemes.
