**Who are we?**

First Subsea, based in Lancaster and part of the First Tech Group, has gone through a major transition in the last five years, transitioning from oil and gas projects to offshore renewables projects where we supply a range of bespoke and patented products, such as; lifting and recovery tools, and cable protection systems. All our products are designed, assembled and tested in-house and we have recently opened a dedicated manufacturing & production facility for our cable protection systems.

As demand has grown for the products and services provided by First Subsea, the need for talented people has also grown in parallel.

**The Role**

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Inspector to join our team on a full time, permanent basis based in Lancaster.

The purpose of this role is to provide Good Inwards and in-process quality control services and documentation in accordance with company processes.

You will hold extensive experience in an Engineering, Project based quality environment, hold the ability to read Engineering drawings and generate reports, hold excellent organisational skills and be familiar with the use of ISO 9001 documentation and processes.

This role would ideally suit an experienced Inspector / Senior Inspector eager to take the next step in their career, who is keen to join an already growing and developing organisation.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- This list does not represent an exhaustive list but indicates the main responsibilities the post holder will be required to undertake:_
- Responsible for the goods inwards inspections including the use of Faro-Arm as required.
- Responsible for the inspection of assemblies and company equipment in accordance with company processes and procedures.
- Responsible for the Management and Maintenance of Inspection Tools along with the Calibration Schedule.
- Responsible for the Assessment and Implementation of Internal and Supplier QC regimes and best practices.
- Assist with Subcontractor / Supplier liaison, visits, and audits, as necessary.
- Carry out and assist with Internal Audits in accordance with the company's audit schedule.
- Responsible for the management of NDT inspections carried out by 3rd Party Inspectors.
- Carry out document management tasks as necessary, such as Goods Inwards paperwork, Material Certification, NCR's etc.
- Maintain product traceability including identifying / labelling, as necessary.
- Provide training and guidance internally to support and achieve competence in the Laboratory Testing Regimes
- Provide support, guidance, mentoring and training to Shift Inspectors within supervisory responsibilities.
- Assist the HSEQ Manager to carry out employee appraisals providing constructive feedback, as necessary.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Essential_
- Previous experience within a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering industry.
- Proficient user of MS office programmes with good IT skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and generate reports.
- Experienced in the use of hand-held measuring instruments and Faro Arm.
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standard.
