Apprentice Sports Coach

Premier Education is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children through active learning. We deliver sports, arts and wellbeing courses to around 240,000 primary school children every year.

We are looking for confident, enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join us as an Apprentice sports coach or performing arts coach on either of the below courses:
Level 2 - Community Activator Coach

Level 3 - Community Sport & Health Officer

Level 4 - School Sports Coach

The level of your apprenticeship will depend on prior qualifications and experience. Apprenticeships are delivered by Educationwise Academy.

We work in schools and venues across Romford, Barking & Dagenham and East London areas.

Applicants must be self-motivated and have a passion for coaching/teaching and inspiring young people through engagement and participation in physical activity, sport and fitness programs.

Person Specification
- They should be trustworthy.
- They will be creative and have the ability to work effectively in teams motivating others around them.
- They should also demonstrate a strong emphasis towards compliance, authority and following procedures.
- Meet outcomes and results with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on expectations for high quality standards.
- Critically assess own performance in a mature and credible way.
- Articulate themselves in a professional and well-presented manner at all times.
- Display good levels of independence, drive and have access to own transport and is sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel.

Main Duties
- Coaching a range of extra-curricular activities before school, lunch times and after school.
- Working alongside head coaches at Holiday Camps during half terms.
- Supporting/assisting curriculum PE and fitness programmes delivered by Senior Coaches
- Attending apprenticeship meetings as planned
- Completing coursework to submit within the timeframe specified by the course tutor

Contract length: 12-18 months

We offer an additional £75pcm for travel expenses.
