An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced individual to join Lincolnshire County Council's Adult Care and Community Wellbeing (ACCW) directorate as a “Social Care Digital Technology Lead (Improvement Practice Lead)” within the Information and Systems Team. This role will work closely with the Lead Professional Team to support the Improvement and Development Programme in implementing strengths-based and digital technology enabled care approaches, to increase practitioners’ knowledge and promote independence for people who use care and support services.

**About the Role**:
This post is being offered as a fixed term position to end of March 2025 (to be reviewed in terms of extension as required by the service area). **The team is based on the Lincoln campus but there is opportunity to work from home or flexibly, at Lancaster House and other satellite offices across the county.**

In this role you will:

- help to push the ACCW digital agenda into the mainstream of care and wellbeing in Lincolnshire, championing the benefits of technology in social care.
- ensure that solutions and commissioned services are designed and implemented via co-production and engagement.
- work closely with frontline teams, Public Health, NHS and voluntary sector, care providers, and people who use care and support services.
- promote a culture of continuous improvement and effective practice across Adult Care teams.

**About You**:
We are seeking to appoint someone who is innovative, and has empathy, drive, enthusiasm, flexibility, and commitment. You will have a background in social care or wellbeing, with an interest or experience in promoting strengths-based practice and digital technology projects.

You will be resilient and confident, and able to establish and build excellent working relationships with colleagues, partner agencies, stakeholders, and suppliers.

You will need a sound understanding of project management, and IT, communication, and evidence-based reporting skills. You will need these attributes to reliably inform decision making and influence service and strategy development.

You will have an understanding of:

- the barriers and benefits to people using digital technology
- how digital technology might help to maintain safety, reduce risk, and maximise independence
- the types of digital products and services available in social care and health
- ethical considerations around the use of technology

**About the Team**:
The Information and Systems Team oversees Adult Care and Community Wellbeing's information and advice offer, and digital transformation programme. Our digital activity includes:

- The implementation of an online Financial Assessment tool (BetterCare)
- Digital improvements for care providers (Digital Social Care Records, NHSMail, WHZAN)
- Falls detection and prevention technology (Komp)
- Home monitoring technology for carers (Howz)
- The implementation of Virtual Wallet and e-Marketplace, for self-management of Direct Payments
