Trainee Sawmill Opertative

**As an trainee sawmill operative, your main responsibility will helping our head operative accurately and efficiently working the sawmill and log lathe to produce timber materials at required sizes. You are expected to work efficiently. Tasks include but are not limited to**:
**Efficiently and accurately milling and turning timber**

**Cutting timbers to length**

**Pressure washing bark from logs if required**

**Ensure that you and others around you are working safely at all times**

**Organise, maintain and take care of company tools, assets and plant machinery**

**Conduct yourself in a manner expected from a professional tradesperson**

**Keep the yard and/or site clean and tidy**

**Drive lifting machinery with care, observing safe working practices and formal training**

**Use tools safely and responsibly**

**Help in all other facets of the business from time to time as required**

**Must have own car as site is remote.**

**Salary to be discussed based on experience.**

**Full training will be given.**

**Full driving licence is required.**

**Pay will be based on experience.**
