About the role
An opportunity has arisen to become part of our innovative, forward thinking Supply Chain team.
As Logistics Planner, you will support our customer’s new store growth in Equity and Franchise locations.
The Supply & Logistics team are a critical part of the new store opening (NSO) process, ensuring that the solution developed for every new store is operationally sound and cost effective.
You will work autonomously across multiple locations across the UK to ensure that every NSO can open on time. The role will be based in our customer’s support centre in Victoria, London. However, approximately 80% of your time will be field based.
You will be responsible for
- New shop opening set up and support including appropriate distributor NSO forms and shop visits prior to opening
- Maintain control of the opening deadline and communicate updates in relation to the NSO pipeline to distributors
- Complete all necessary customer system set up processes to allow and ensure the shop’s first orders are placed and transmitted to distributor
- Work with the Senior Logistics Manager to provide the most operationally secure and cost-effective delivery schedule for our customer
- Complete System set up and shop ordering schedules for Bank Holidays, working with the Shop Operations team on the effective communication of these
- Support distributor with routing of vehicles considering costs and delivery restrictions (landlord, legal, council, noise)
- Ensuring distributors have all shop access information, shop keys and door codes
- Monitoring and resolving 'service now' delivery issues with our customer’s distributor and communicating resolutions to shops where necessary
- Ensuring all shop delivery briefs are up-to date, maintained and changes are communicated to the distributor and shop teams
- Learn and master the operating processes of the system
- Weekly compilation and reporting of distributor service levels on a rota basis
- Provide targeted communication to shops of any logistics or supply issues
- To support the monthly reconciliation of shop credits and reporting these to shops and Ops
- Provide support as required for the Senior Logistics Manager in managing the distributor
- Large element of UK travel with possible overnight stays
- Some unsocial hours, weekend and bank holiday cover may be required given Supply & Logistics is a 24/7 operation
- Work on ad hoc projects as requested
- Attend several buddy days in a designated shop
- Attend monthly distributor review meetings
You will need
**Essential Skills**:
- An excellent understanding of QSR/Retail operations
- Experience of working with or for QSR logistics operations/operators
- Customer focused
- A clear communicator both written and verbally
- The ability to work autonomously without supervision
- Able to assess a situation and predict how challenges can be mitigated or overcome for the customer
- Work under pressure and prioritise
- Work in cross-functional groups internally and externally
**Working Hours**:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
You may be required to work on public holidays if requested.
