Laundry Production

We are hiring Laundry Production Staff to join our Clients Team - Lancaster UK
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor and Plant Manager, as a laundry worker you be required to operate laundry equipment related to the finishing of flat-work, tumble-dried goods and uniforms and/or to sort soiled and re-washed linens into designatedclassifications.
Hours for production;
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
- Temporary to Permanent

**Responsibilities**:

- Sorts soiled linen into designated classifications, weighs sorted linens ready for loading on storage monorail or for loading into washer/extractors.
- Removes bags of soiled linen from carts and empties them onto conveyor belt.
- Shakes and hangs flatwork goods for finishing through the ironer. Feeds, folds, counts, and stacks all linen items through flatwork ironer and small piece folder.
- Operates flatwork ironer, small piece folders and garment finisher following predetermined standards of productivity.
- Checks all linens for excessive wear, tears and stains and segregates such items when found.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area and immediately reports and equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in production is helpful but not required as training will be provided
Working in heated areas and high speed processes

- Ability to work at speed
