Within this role you will have the opportunity to focus upon Childcare matters and work alongside a Partner in the team to develop your experience in this area

The role will involve working within the wider team to provide legal advice and guidance to clients with regard to a full spectrum of family matters.

**Duties**:

- Act with honesty and integrity, as stipulated in the SRA Handbook and Code of Conduct.
- Managing an agreed caseload of family matters with a particular emphasis on mid to high net worth financial remedy cases, cohabitation/TOLATA cases and private children cases, providing appropriate advice and assistance in accordance with professional standards,compliance and internal quality requirements.
- Providing appropriate guidance and advice to clients and process cases on a timely and cost effective basis. Ensure client is regularly informed on progress and on costs.
- To deal courteously and promptly with any instructions or queries arising, prioritizing client care and satisfaction.
- To prepare and check any relevant legal documentation relating to transactions.
- Support, supervise and train junior team members on more complex or high net worth cases.
- Sending terms of engagement and estimates of fees and disbursements.
- To bill, collect debts and achieve all individual financial targets.
- To develop and maintain good client relationships and enhance the firm’s client base by effective liaison with existing and new clients.
- To maximize the firm’s potential to cross sell services by identifying appropriate opportunities
- To ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm’s and client documentation and information.
- Maintaining the level of competence and knowledge to practice efficiently by keeping abreast with changes and developments in the law and maintaining continued professional development, attending training courses were necessary.
- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the grade and post.
