Asbestos Supervisor

Flowing Construction Services has an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as an Asbestos Supervisor. You will oversee and supervise asbestos removal projects, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. You will lead a team of operatives, co-ordinate project activities and ensure the successful completion of projects to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise asbestos removal projects from start to finish working closely with senior management.
- Conduct risk assessments and assist with the development of detailed method statements.
- Ensure all asbestos removal activities comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Lead and motivate a team of asbestos operatives, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Co-ordinate with clients, site managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including work records, safety reports and waste transfer notes.
- Handle and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during project execution.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay updated with industry practices and regulations.

Key requirements:

- Experience in supervision of asbestos removal projects.
- Strong knowledge of current asbestos regulations and best practices
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive method statements.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of the job.
- Can do attitude.
- Current training / medical / face fits / mask test.
- Full driving license (ability to tow DCUs is an advantage)
- Willing to work overtime and away when required.

We are a construction company (with an asbestos division) based in Washington in the Northeast of England. With over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, Flowing Construction Services is a well-established and highly respected company.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 8-14 weeks

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
