Main duties and responsibilities:
**Teaching and learning**
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for digital skills to unemployed adults, including non-accredited, Entry level - Level 1.
- Reflect, adapt and develop practice to best meet diverse needs of learners.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of learners with creative and innovative strategies for their learning.
- To facilitate and encourage learning experiences which provides learners with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
- Motivate and inspire learners to achieve their full potential and maximising learner attainment
- To share and support Uplift’s ethos to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth
- Must be able to support the individual needs of our learners by recognising and providing the required level of support to each individual.
- Must be able to promote the ‘Uplift’ values by ensuring the learning environment is welcoming, engaging, motivating and inspiring at all times for everyone we work with.
- Must be able to prioritise and plan work commitments to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Must have experience in completing course paperwork to a high standard to ensure accuracy of our records.
- Must be flexible to support the team’s requirements.

**Planning**
- To contribute to the Uplift’s development plan and its implementation
- To ensure documentation and practice in relation to Health and Safety is in place and adhered to. To assist in the process of curriculum development in digital skills to ensure the continued relevance to the needs of learners, examining and awarding bodies and Uplift’s ethos.
- Liaison with Admin/Support staff to update records and inform of progression
- To ensure that the equipment is in good working order and suitable for teaching use.

**General Duties**
- Participate in relevant meetings with colleagues, volunteers, and be involved in links with external agencies as part of curriculum enhancement, including extra-curricular activities and off-site visits
- Support other members of the team and learners as appropriate
- Review and record your own professional development and maintain professional standards
- Completion of funder/awarding body paperwork to a high standard
- Develop and maintain records of learner progress
- Liaison with Safeguarding and Health and Safety Leads in ICT Safety Co-ordinator capacity, including all aspects of e-safety
- The above list of duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may be reasonably required within the scope of the grading of the post.

**Essential**
- A teaching qualification at Level 4 or equivalent.
- Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Gain/hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Minimum Level 2 ICT qualification

**Desirable**
- Relevant Assessing qualification (A1 Assessor Award or equivalent)

**Experience**

**Essential**
- Experience of teaching/working with unemployed adults.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Good administration and organisational skills to work towards Ofsted, funder and awarding body standards.
- Ability to develop new courses and write Scheme of Work to Ofsted standards.

**Desirable**
- Good networking and development skills

- Knowledge of geographical area, cultural issues and barriers faced by unemployed people
