The Litigation Executive is responsive for effective file handling and client care in pursuing a claim for compensation on the Client’s behalf.
- Taking instructions and liaising with clients
- Communicating with Claimants, third parties to establish basis of claim
- Good knowledge of EL/PL/RTA claims pre and post litigation asses and respond to denials of liability drafting court documents, Part 8 and Part 7
- Responsibility for own case load of admitted / defended / litigation matters
- Knowledge of the MOJ Claims Portal, be able to submit CNF and deal with admissions
- Good understanding of medical reports, special damages be capable of quantifying a claim
- Good organisation skills, working from a task list and prioritising own caseload progression to settlement of claims both pre-litigation and litigated cases
- Developing and maintaining a knowledge on legal issues specifically affecting the sector, working collaboratively with colleagues across the team to share knowledge.
- Ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in line with Data Protection regulations.
- Support wider marketing and business development opportunities.
