**The team**

The Provider Service supports people with disabilities (learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or mental health conditions) to be influential in their local communities through citizenship, employment, enterprise, and volunteering opportunities. **About the role**

The role involves overseeing the smooth running of a kitchen in a large service for Adults with Learning Disabilities.

This involves; planning menus in consultation with Team leaders and Service Users, to ensure that individual choice is supported and dietary requirements are met, preparing, cooking and serving meals/drinks ( around 40 meals) ensuring that individual preferences, choices and dietary requirements are supported, ordering provisions ensuring budgets are maintained within set limits, ensuring high food hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times, undertaking responsibility for the cleaning of the kitchen ensuring regulations to food hygiene and health and safety are strictly adhered to, overseeing and supporting the kitchen assistant, communicating effectively with colleagues and Service Users in order to share knowledge, seek advice and coordinate service delivery.

Essential Criteria

Level 3 Award in Food Safety for Catering RQF - or willing to work towards.

Food allergy and intolerance Training - or willing to undertake.

Experience of providing meals for large groups of people, working as part of a team, good communication skills, knowledge of allergies, dysphagia and various dietary requirements.
