Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Global Supply Chain for the role of Production Planner on a 9 month fixed term contract. Reporting to Production Planner Manager, this is a key position within the Planning & Global Supply (P&GS) team. The role’s purpose is to decide production requirements, based on spirit availability/constraints, customer demand, optimisation of production run lengths, product campaigns & material availability for the long-term planning horizon.

Job Description
This is an ever-changing picture & the Production Planner must act as a conduit & decision-maker, considering information from distilleries, UK Manufacturing, Local Operating Companies (LOCs) & other distributors.
- Key responsibilities:
Review new demand requirements on a monthly basis & convert to production requirements in line with spirit allocation, availability of liquid & other materials
- Monthly review with LOCs to agree anticipated volumes & monthly review with UK Demand Planner to agree requirements for other distributors via the handshake calls
- Planning of production requirements to be in-line with minimum order/batch runs & a sensible approach to frequency/volume of requirements
- Represent Planning & Global Supply in any key meetings like the weekly Production Planning & Scheduling meeting, monthly Business Unit meetings, monthly/weekly calls with LOCs/UK Demand Planners
- Assist Production Planning Manager in creation of stock builds
- Process exception orders through the SharePoint App and confirm outcome to relevant parties
- Represent Planning team at Business Development Forums
- Regular SKU housekeeping routines
- Collaborate with Finance & Business Units on aged stock reduction process
- Run-out of old codes & run-in of new codes (co-ordinate with & communicate to Procurement, Production, Technical Services, Global Supply including LOCs
- Provide cover for other Production Planners & potentially Production Planning Manager
