The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at The Avenue Day Nursery.

The Avenue Day Nursery in Aldbourne, near Marlborough, Wiltshire, is located within an area of outstanding natural beauty - Aldbourne provides a very homely feel with friendly and welcoming staff providing care within a safe and secure environment.
- With local visits to the Library, farm, care home and our very own allotment on a weekly basis the children and nursery are very much part of the community. We enjoy weekly visits from outside agencies that provide a wide variety of extra-curricular activities including French, dance and physical literacy._

**Your duties and responsibilities will include;**
- To work as part of the nursery team to ensure that action plans, planning, monitoring and observation, is embedded in the daily running of the setting.
- To assist the room leader in identifying gaps in your training to support your continuous professional development through planning and development with the setting.
- You are expected to build a professional working relationship with all staff members during their induction period and continually throughout their employment with the company.
- To assist in creating and maintaining a welcoming and family friendly environment for all nursery staff, children, and their families, including visitors, prospective parents and outside agencies ensuring that all areas of the setting are always clean and safe in line with settings health and safety checks.
- To ensure that you deliver high standards of care and quality education is to all the children within the setting in accordance with statutory requirements set out by Government, Ofsted, and local authorities.
- You are to assist the room leader in ensuring the chosen early year’s curriculum is promoted and delivered effectively and efficiently within the setting ensuring you can give regular feedback to the parents about the development and progress of each individual child where appropriate.
- To ensure effective communication between other nursery staff and yourself take place professionally.
- Assist the senior manager in the marketing, fundraising, and advertising of the nursery, to help ensure the setting runs at full capacity whilst remaining profitable.

**Hours;**

The Avenue Day Nursery is open 51 weeks of the year 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.

**Requirements**:

- You must be able to gain a clear DBS.
- Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
