To fulfil all warehouse and yard duties to an excellent standard. Ensure all aspects relating to 6S standards are met in full. When required assist on press taking on all Press Assistant duties

**Position**:
**Warehouse Duties**
- Ensure all goods are marshalled correctly within the Factory and on trailers ready for despatch to other sites both shunt and external trailers.
- Cover Press Assistants’ breaks on reel stand or press for 30 minutes and, when necessary, prepare & reels in.
- On a daily basis ensure all RTS (Return to Stock) reels are returned to stock in a tidy area. Make sure the quarantine area is kept clear.
- When necessary, assist Press Operators to get paper down from press if Press Assistant has no time
- Make sure job is labelled and stored in best location for ease of access for new jobs
- Empty bins off press and ensure compactor cages are locked. When bins are full ask Manager to contact the waste management company (currently DS Smith)
- Continually move and arrange work in progress (WIP) and wrap/strap pallets ready for transfer to Plant 4
- Continually wrap/strap finished goods for delivery and place in marshalling area or on transport vehicles
- Unload consumables and transfer to correct area; put delivery notes in Manager’s office
- Keep the factory floor area swept and clean in line with the cleaning list
- Keep all ancillary areas tidy
- Complete daily fork lift truck checks - Legal Requirement.
- Bring pallets into factory always checking that any broken pallets are rejected. Always ensure that there are sufficient dry pallets in the factory ready for the next 12-hour period
- Tidy and store end boards with appropriate labelling in racking
- Manage exchange of ink/varnish silos and top up system

**Yard Duties**
- On a daily basis, make sure all cardboard and plastic is baled and stored neatly in the yard
- Ensure there are sufficient empty cages in the yard for reel cores after weekly waste collection
- Make sure broken pallets are neatly stacked ready for collection
- Segregate new pallets into sizes and store neatly in the yard
- Ensure the yard area is kept clean and tidy with ink silos, waste and pallets placed in the designated areas
- When white paper/waste paper is collected check delivery notes and pass to Manager
- Ensure all waste material is stored correctly and the area around the compactor is kept clear of paper, all issues to reported to site manager.

**General**
- Carry out any other duties as and when requested
