Interim Accounts Assistant
- Based in Barnsley with hybrid and flexible working
**About Our Client**:
This organisation is a prominent entity within the public sector and government industry, specifically in the healthcare field. With a large team size spread across the UK, they are dedicated to providing critical services to the community, and place a high value on integrity, professionalism, and efficiency in all their operations.
- Assist in maintaining financial records and executing financial procedures.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Conduct audits, producing reports which highlight issues and potential resolutions.
- Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Participate in financial projects within the department.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly or weekly financial reports.
- Provide administrative support as necessary.
**The Successful Applicant**:
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A strong background in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS excel
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and standards in the public sector.
