**Job Type**: Full Time, Part Time and Bank Positions available
**Location**: Glasgow
**Salary**: £14 per hour weekday, £15 per hour weekends and nights
Our client has delivered quality care across Glasgow for over 25 years. Their aim and goal isto sustain and encourage independence and positive outcomes for their service users.
The company is seeking to recruit Experienced Senior Support Workers with the knowledge and competence to work with their persons in Chester Park Care Home newly developed self-contained complex care community.
The people they will be supporting live with an acquired brain injury and they have complex care needs.
**Applicants must have the following**
- SVQ Level 3 or above/equivalent
- Experience with brain Injury/brain hypoxia
- Experience in managing complex care needs inclusive of tracheostomy care/enteral feeding regimes via percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG tube)/urethral and suprapubic catheters
- Minimum of 2 years care experience (preferred)
- The client will be supported throughout the day on a 1.5:1 basis.
**Hours**
The company are currently recruiting for the following:
- 8am-8pm (Mon-Sun)
- 8pm-8am (Mon-Sun)
- Alternate weekends will be required - Shifts can be flexible and open to discussion.

- To assess, plan and review risk assessments and support plans in a risk adventurous manner
- The assessment and personal planning reflects peoples outcomes and wishes
- Work collaboratively and effectively with your senior support worker colleagues to support people.
- Objectively perform quality assurance ensuring improvement is well led in an open, honest and transparent manner involving those directly involved in the community.
You will commit to the completion of advanced senior support worker skills in this field such as:
- Basic Life Support via Tracheostomy
- Tissue Viability - awareness
- Tracheotomy Care, management/suctioning
- Home ventilation management
- Venepuncture
- Knowledge, understanding and competency Respiratory Arrest Procedures
- Knowledge, understanding in the care of supra pubic and urethral catheter care
- Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy management
- Delivery of personal care
- Knowledge understanding of passive movement support
- Monitoring of oxygen saturation skills and knowledge
- Communication strategies with other professionals, families etc
- Provide accurate record keeping
- Medication management
- Confident and competent in the initiation of sensitive conversations in the development and reviewing of anticipatory care plans
- Knowledge and understanding of acquired brain injury
- Competencies assessments will be completed annually and spot checked every 3 months.

- Committed to continued learning, development and refresher training in this field to meet the needs of the people.
- Works well as a part of a team in a challenging demanding environment.
- Physically fit, energetic and enthusiastic
- In the event of unforeseen the team of complex care senior support workers have the responsibility to maintain the service level to promote positive outcomes for those within their care. Due to the highly specialised field any shortfalls in staffing mustbe backfilled by the company's own trained and competent senior support worker team.
