To contribute to the general running and functions of the Orthoptic service including administration,planning and development3. To contribute to the teaching of junior orthoptists and students from orthoptic, optometry and medicalbackgrounds.4.
To take an active part in local and national research and audit, undertaking data collection as required5. Maintain up to date knowledge of techniques and technology and to maintain required levelsprofessional clinical practise, competencies and skills. To maintain own standards of professionalconduct and performance in line with HCPC and BIOS6. To be aware of and implement Trust and departmental policies and procedures, and participate in thedevelopment of departmental policies7.
To understand and maintain quality assurance standards, clinical governance and clinical risk for theOrthoptic service and Trust
