**About the role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Safeguarding Compliance: Maintain accurate records related to safeguarding, including DBS checks, training, and risk assessments.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in implementing safeguarding policies and procedures across the school.
- Training and Awareness: Coordinate training sessions for staff, ensuring they are well-informed about safeguarding practices.
- Incident Reporting: Handle safeguarding concerns, incidents, and referrals promptly and confidentially.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to address safeguarding matters effectively.
- Data Management: Maintain secure and confidential records related to safeguarding incidents.

**Duties**:

- Work collaboratively with the Safeguarding Officers, DDSL and DSL.
- Maintain confidential and accurate record of all disclosures and actions.
- Work in collaboration with relevant learner managers, teachers and staff across all school departments to ensure MIS information is up to date and is being actioned in a timely manner by those.
- Be compliant with GDPR/ Data Protection Act arrangements and Confidentiality.
- Communicate verbally in a professional and effective manner, positively engaging a range of listeners such as parents/ carers and students.
- Accurate minute taking and uploading to the schools MIS.
- Liaise with parents/carers and external stakeholders when necessary.
- Have the ability to deal calmly and effectively with difficult situations if they arise.
- Have knowledge of the range of support available in school and externally and effectively signpost students needing intervention.
- Support with the administration of the transition process from the previous school to the School.
- Collate and review Health Declarations for new students and provide actions for Pastoral Support/SENDCo to enable Risk Assessments and learning plans to be put into place.
- Undertake proactive development and implementation of administrative processes.

Key Requirements:

- Experience of carrying out administrative tasks in a busy office environment working collaboratively
- A calm and stable demeanour to respond consistently to students / parents / carers / external agencies
- An enthusiastic and positive attitude with the desire to make a positive contribution to the life of the provision.
- Ability to use IT systems and processes continually improving administrative systems and maximising efficiency
