Laboratory Assistant

The Cornish Lime Company are a specialist in manufacturing materials for conservation of our built heritage. We produce traditional lime-based mortars, renders and plasters in Cornwall using materials sourced from around the UK & EU.

We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support our Technical Manager with ongoing Q.A., custom materials and development projects in our physical sciences laboratory. The role will involve a wide and varied range of tasks involving:

- testing and classification of products, binders, sands & aggregates
- small scale sample production
- Q.A. of manufactured products

This is a physical role and you will be required to regularly handle 25kg bags along with mix and use mortars & renders - as such you will need to be happy to get your hands dirty.

Furthermore the role may involve some development of our sales process to assist our General Manager when required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
