To role of Immediately Available Sales Ledger Clerk will enable accurate and timely information to be produced from the sales ledger.

**Client Details**

Our client is a multi-national manufacturing organisation looking for an Immediately Available Sales Ledger Clerk to join their finance team based in Cwmbran.

**Description**

The Immediately Available Sales Ledger Clerk's duties include but are not limited to:

- Proactively manage and collect debts from company debtors
- Processing payments and reconciliation of customer accounts including resolving queries both internally and externally around payments and outstanding invoices with confidence and persistence
- Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
- Setting up of terms and conditions of credit
- Preparing statements, manual invoices and credit notes and other relevant information as required
- Involvement in financial month end procedures
- Support the implementation of automated systems
- Assisting the Purchase Ledger with processing of invoices
- Normal office duties such as filing; scanning; post; banking of cheques; letter writing; updating of standard work documentation

**Profile**
- Good level of education including GCSE Maths with the ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Relevant qualification in Finance/Accounting/Administration would be desirable
- Ideally previous experience in an office administration role
- Previous experience within a manufacturing company
- Good communication skills in order to maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and highly organised / motivated
- Strong IT skills with the ability to use spreadsheets, computerised accounts packages, Sharepoint
- Strong problem solving skill set
- Be trustworthy, motivated and able to work on own initiative
