Our Hartlepool facility delivers integrated design and manufacturing solutions for high technology, high mix and complex products including solutions for IoT connectivity and customised power. A complete electronics assembly service is delivered including electronic, mechanical and software design, prototype, new product introduction, global procurement, tooling and moulding, PCB assembly, box build and test, packaging and global fulfilment.

Role Overview and Responsibilities:
Requirements of Role

Responsible for following the SMT production procedures to obtain the highest levels of quality and efficiency possible. Ensure that production requirements are met as per the production plan.

Competencies
- Highlighting any material shortages in advance of the changeover.
- Performing the most economical machine set up with mínimal down-time.
- Ensuring that all procedural checks are carried out before production begins and that the paperwork is completed in real time.
- Ensuring that a first off / last off is completed and recorded by an AOI/Rework Operator.
- Monitoring the machine output against component waste levels.
- Adhere to Quality requirements inclusive of ESD standard.
- Keeping excellent levels of housekeeping within the SMT Department.
- Participate in activities to improve machine performance by:Reducing machine changeover time.
- Reducing machine down time.
- Increasing machine performance.
- Ensure Quality standards are rigorously applied to all tasks completed and take an active role in identifying issues which may affect quality of your own work or the work of others.
- Adherence to all policy and legislative requirements in respect of Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.
