E&C Distribution Ltd are actively looking for a Transport Planner/ Administrator to join our friendly team, within our North West operation.

As Transport Planner/ Administrator you will be a key member of the team and assist in the daily running of this specialist company ensuring its efficient, safe and legal operation.

Previous transport industry experience is preferable but someone willing to learn new skills will be considered.

Excellent communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills are essential and capacity to operate independently in a fast paced environment.

About E&C Distribution:
We are a small family run company based in North Preston and we service customers throughout the UK. The business has been operating for 33 years and has a main focus on customer satisfaction.
We operate a fleet of 20 vehicles, all tracked and maintained to a high standard and we firmly believe our staff are our greatest asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the daily planning of vehicles
- Helping with the securing of return loads and minimising non cost effective movements
- First point of contact for drivers and staff to ensure seamless operation
- Monitoring vehicle tracker to make sure schedule is being adhered to
- Managing daily POD's and Defect reporting systems
- Responsibility for ensuring driver legal compliance is adhered to on drivers hours, defects and tachograph rules

**Requirements**:

- Transport planning/ administration experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent team working skills and attention to detail
- Good computer skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Experience within the Transport Industry preferred

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
