Capstan Operator

Capstan Setter/Operator

Reports to: Engineering Manager

To manufacture/modify components as required using Capstans and Lathes

Principal Responsibilities:
1. To maintain productivity and traceability, and to ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly

2. Set up and operate Capstans and Lathes as appropriate to produce desired components

3. Ensure that product produced is at the level of quality expected

4. Clean down machine and keep in reasonable order

5. Report any faults with machinery to your immediate Supervisor and to liaise with same on purchase of spare parts

6. To take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate

7. Fulfil training programs deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development

8. Any other duties as required, commensurate with job position

The job salary is to be discussed at interview stage but adheres to and exceeds National Minimum Wage for the relevant age category
