Our CLient in Hitchin are looking to recruit a CNC Turner Setter Operator salalry is £35k-£40k DEO (inclusive of shift allowance) OTE with overtime is around £55k

CNC Turner required for a large plastics engineering company based in Hitchin.

Permanent Position

Between 6-8 hours overtime per week, paying time +1/3 during the week and time +1/2 for weekends,

Initially working on days until approved for shift work.

Rotating shift.

Working Hours - rotating shift

Week 1 - Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.00pm

Week 2 - Monday to Thursday 1.30pm to 10.00pm
- Friday 1.30pm to 6.40pm

1 Excellent general measuring skills

2 A good understanding of engineering drawings

3 A familiarity with using hand held measuring instruments

4 Experienced using CMM, Optical vison, profile projection and surface finish measurement instruments.

5 Experienced setting and Operating sliding Head Turn-mill centres, specifically “Star” machines

6 The ability to Create machine Programs

7 An understanding of Modern tooling systems.

8 A working understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9100 principals

Your duties will include setting machines for submission to FAI, making in-process adjustments, maintaining quality control of the parts you are producing, and liaising with the machine Cell Support and QC teams.
