**About the company**

We are once again collaborating with one of our long term clients, to assist them in adding an experienced Head of Operations to their core management team. You will be joining one of the UK’s leading timber processor with a strong growth story and a leader in forestry processing plants based in East Lothian on a 22 hectare, state of the art technology and sustainability, with sites across the UK and Ireland. Employing over 900 people.

**Key responsibilities**
- **Working with the maintenance team, you will be responsible for;**_
- Continual and ongoing maintenance of all aspect of the Saw Shop to ensure that downtime is mínimal and maximum output
- Close involvement in scheduled planning to work on installing new saws and components prior to failure, as well as repairing and replacing damaged installations
- Interrogate, fault find and resolve any issues

**What you will bring to the role**
- Flexibility and willingness to cover a 40 hour per week; Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm, Friday 7am -2pm
- Recent mechanical or electrical experience and proven track record, working in a plant, workshop or industrial site
- Familiarity with electrical equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a team and interact with colleagues from all different backgrounds
- Self motivated, great initiative, with strong customer focus
- Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to take direction

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
