**Job Purpose**

**Main Duties and Responsibilities** -4. To provide administrative support for informal and formal complaints and appeals in line with the terms of the relevant provision and the University’s Complaints and Appeals policies and procedures.
5. To assist the Allocations and Appeals Manager by supporting the preparation of service communications and publicity materials about the services and embed key messages and information via agreed communications channels.
6. To communicate effectively with colleagues across the Directorate and with customers throughout the University community, providing accurate and timely information and responses to ensure the provision of an excellent customer experience.
7. To assist with the development and editing of service online content, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained and that effective protocols are established to ensure site content remains accurate, current and relevant. The postholder will also assist with the preparation and posting of contributions to the Directorate’s social media platforms.
8. To administer a range of business systems containing personal records, information and data ensuring that all records are accessed in accordance with legislative requirements, University policy and in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.
9. To assist with the administration of business activities associated with the management of the University Nursery including supporting the work of the Nursery Management Committee.
10. To support the Directorate’s continuous improvement agenda by contributing to the development and review of operational policies, procedures and guidance.

**Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

**Knowledge/Qualifications**

**Essential**:

A1 Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills through personal development and progression in a similar related role(s) Or: Or: Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 5 or 6 (National 5 or 6, Scottish Vocational Qualification level 2 or 3) or equivalent, and experience of personal development in a similar role.
A2 Detailed knowledge of business and administrative processes and procedures.
A3 Good understanding of a range of IT systems and software relevant to the role including web editing.
A4 Good knowledge and understanding of the benefits of Social Media for business.

**Desirable**:
B2 Knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations and how to manage data in line with these regulations.

**Skills**

**Essential**:

C1 Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and associates at all levels and exercise tact, diplomacy and discretion in all activities.
C3 Good interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain strong, effective relationships and work effectively in partnership with others to achieve common goals.

E7 Experience of using standard software packages (such as Microsoft Office), service portals and networked database systems.

**Desirable**:

F1 Experienced in the use of business systems such as Agresso, MyCampus and HRCore
F2 Experience of content management systems and web editing.

**Terms and Conditions**
Salary will be Grade 4, £21,197 - £23,715 per annum.
This post is full time (35 hours p/w) and open ended.
