About our company:
In simple terms, Chevron Traffic Management is the company that sets up temporary road or lane closures, diversions routes or pedestrian walkways to keep road workers and road users safe while roadworks are underway. This involves putting out road cones, signage, temporary traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and barriers. Our work is visible all over the country. The next time you are out and about and see roadworks, have a look at the signage. It is possible that Chevron Traffic Management put them there.

It is, of course, much more complicated than that. It involves consulting, planning, designing, estimating and liaising with our suppliers and our customers to ensure that our schemes are fit for purpose. It also involves innovation and technology so we can improve safety and help our industry to reduce our carbon footprint.

About the role:
Some of your responsibilities will include assisting the commercial team with; compiling in contract quotations, assessing tender quotations, building up tender prices, compensation event build ups, issuing tender queries, providing tender handover packs, managing the early warning and compensation event process and any other administrative tasks relevant to the commercial/ estimating department.

Accuracy is paramount, as you will also input data onto various spreadsheets, analyse subcontract and supplier packages and provide accurate and reliable data to the team.

Communication is also key to this role. Whilst supporting the commercial team, you will also work towards developing long term relationships with clients, supply chain and other partner organisations. You will also provide assistance in the overseeing of commercial aspects of contracts within the Region.

About You:
A highly motivated and confident individual, you are keen to learn and have experience working in a commercial setting (or are willing to undertake necessary training). Commercially aware, you have great communication both verbally and in writing and demonstrate the best in service and client care. You are a keen learner, can work to deadlines and also work well under pressure in an ever changing climate.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

- Good general literacy/numeracy/ICT
- Minimum 5 GCSE's grade C or above
- Confident, outgoing personality
- Competent in general MS Office, specifically Excel
- Good written & oral presentation skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to travel and overnight stays when needed

Desirable:

- Full UK Driving Licence
- TM Qualifications
