As a **Metering Team Advisor,** you will deal with customer queries and will undertake an in-depth training programme which will equip you with the relevant skills and knowledge required to ensure you deliver excellent levels of service to our business customers. The Metering Team Advisor must demonstrate active listening, empathy, problem solving skills, and strong communication skills. **[Please note - these are office-based roles and NOT Meter Reader positions]**

Our Metering Team Advisor salaries range from £22000.00 to £24000.00 per annum, and **we offer a hybrid working model where most roles can be undertaken through a combination of home and office working from our offices in Blairgowrie (Perthshire).**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Process and validate all received meter readings, monitoring and auditing data quality of meter reads being received.
- Process and resolve meter read skips to enable successful future reads.
- Build rapport, identify customer needs quickly, efficiently, and proactively to deliver excellent customer services.
- Work closely with colleagues to contribute objectives and targets for the teams process, acquiring and sharing knowledge and skills as part of your daily tasks
- Take ownership of customer queries and resolve in a timely manner, with the ability to understand complex customer queries and to escalate as appropriate
- Assist and collaborate with ALL other area of the business when required, supporting them with queries
- Opportunity for involvement in automation and improvement of business processes

**Key Skills & Experience**
- Experience within a similar role - utilities, finance, or banking back office/metering administration - preferred but not essential
- Ability to flourish in a high pressure, challenging and fast paced environment
- High level of numeracy, literacy, customer service and attention to detail required
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office is preferred, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- High organised, flexible with a positive attitude, ability to work collaboratively and autonomously, and to prioritise work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; with the confidence and patience to deal with difficult and complex situations
- Ability and willingness to learn and develop
- Willingness to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution
- Work independently, but also demonstrate excellent team working skills
