To carry out reception and related administrative duties throughout the Practice and perform such other tasks as reasonably requested by the Practice Manager or other senior team members. To deal with customers in a polite and efficient manner and to always put them first. The role has a substantial customer service element and therefore excellent communication skills, positive attitude and courteous telephone manner are expected at all times.

The Receptionist is the first and last person the patient sees in the Practice, your welcome, appearance and friendliness can make all the difference to the patient.

Key Tasks
- To meet and greet customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Book in Customers on the Practice computer system ensuring we have the correct demographic details
- Ensure customers sign all necessary NHS forms before leaving the practice
- Ensure any further bookings are made for the client before they leave the practice
- Take payments from customers ensuring payment method is valid
- Do Daily cashing up ensuring that all monies balance and place all monies and receipts in the safe
- Prepare monthly invoices for payment using our accounting system
- Deal politely and efficiently with all telephone calls into the practice
- Be discreet when discussing anything private or sensitive with customers at the desk or on the telephone
- Liaise closely with the Dental staff throughout the day to ensure customers are seen promptly
- Effectively deal with any complaints or queries and try and resolve any issues quickly. Never argue with customers and seek immediate help if needed.
- Follow all practice policies and procedures, copies of which are available from your manager
- Read and follow the Practice Staff Handbook including all rules on client confidentiality
- Follow the procedure for reporting equipment failures or breakages
- To take reasonable care for her/his own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by her/his acts or omissions at work
- To positively promote services available at the clinic in order to improve sales
- To liaise with the Practice Manager on all matters concerning administration, pay and service
- Identify your training and development needs and undertake appropriate training as required and agreed with the Practice Manager

Working Hours available:
Monday-Friday 07:45-16:45

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9.50-£10.00 per hour
