Day Ward is a busy nurse-led unit with a high volume and fast turnover of patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic investigations and procedures. We are open Monday to Friday, 06:45-20:00
The nursing team:
Admit and prepare patients for their elective procedures
Perform venepuncture, cannulation and 12 lead ECGs

Manage discharge lounge to facilitate safe discharge across the hospital
This is a time pressured environment, where you must be a team player, well organised, and able to deal with ever changing priorities. All our staff are expected to be able to effectively multitask and ensure all infection control risks are managed effectively. Patients experience is optimised on the ward through good communication and team working.
We are looking for a qualified band 4, to join our team. If you think you have these attributes and are looking for an interesting and rewarding, yet challenging role within a friendly environment, we will provide the opportunity to develop professionally and to undertake enhanced skills.
