Job Introduction
**Are you a confident on-road cyclist with an interest in working with children?**

We have a job opportunity for a Cycling instructor to join our successful Cycle Training Team, delivering Bikeability cycle training programmes across the borough in a fun and inspiring way.

As a Cycling Instructor you will help encourage good cycling practice and cycle skills in both children and adults, giving them the confidence to ride individually or in a group and gain an understanding of how to ride safely on today’s roads and in accordance with the relevant National Standards Level set out by The Department for Transport. Training courses are run in primary schools and some Secondary schools across Solihull. Successful applicants will have effective communication and interpersonal skills able to give clear instructions and respond to trainees needs. You must be physically able to walk and cycle distances of up to two miles on a frequent basis.

Whilst the post is offered on an annualised hours contract basis, we would prefer commitment to undertake full week bookings. You would not be required to work every week.

Interviews will include a short cycling assessment. You will need to bring your cycle & helmet or let us know in advance if you need to borrow one.
