A fantastic opportunity within Harrow Council for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the team as a Street Sweeper. The role of Street Sweeper has a competitive pay rate of £12.27 per hour. Other benefits include excellent training and supportfor career development and 21 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).
The Main Purpose of a Street Sweeper:
" Carry out tasks such as street cleaning, emptying litter bins, weed control, horticultural maintenance, assist in the repair and renovation of features such as goal mouths, over marking of pitches, removal of graffiti and fly tipping, grass cutting, hedgecutting, pruning, and building cleaning including public conveniences
" To identify and log issues that are detrimental to the street scene, resolving where appropriate
" Use all required handheld tools and machinery in a safe and effective manner
" Lone and outdoor working conditions in all weathers
" About you, the successful Street Sweeper will have:
" Experience of using handheld gardening tools
" To be able to work outside in all conditions
" To be physically able to undertake heavy manual work
" To be able to work flexibly in response to the service needs of a 24/7 business, including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays
