Supply Planner

A leading FMCG company with international exposure is currently recruiting for a permanent Supply Planner. This is a hybrid role, based in the Gloucester office 2-3 days/week and at home the rest of time.
Reporting to the Head of Planning, you will be responsible for the accuracy of the Supply plan, ensuring channel and warehouse stock levels are managed to meet demand and maximise sales. You will possess strong attention to detail and will be an effective teamplayer. Working with both internal and external stakeholders you will display trust and integrity, building robust relationships to ensure business KPIs are achieved.
Ideally you will have a background in FMCG with experience of Supply Planning and SAP and have the ability to work to tight deadlines and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. You will be competent in Microsoft Excel to an advanced level andwill be able to analyse and interpret data to support decision making.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Own the SRM meeting as part of the IBP process
- Manage the Supply Planning process as part of the overall IBP cycle of meetings.
- Generate reports and prepare required materials for the Site and Divisional SRMs.
- Facilitate the SRM with key stakeholder working through supply, haulier and logistics constraints/opportunities.
Collaborative/Communication
- Regularly communicate with Demand planner on peaks & troughs on the Demand line. Collaboratively manage the Supply constraints to deliver best outcome results.
- Work with your Commercial Manager in weekly meetings to review KPIs, Supply constraints or opportunities.
- Collaboratively forge a strong customer focus & service with your Brand owner through day to day communication and monthly meetings.
Day to day
- Work with responsible areas of the business to ensure that the IBP master data is accurate and complete and reflects the parameters in the Supply Chain network
- Manage day to day queries from internal & external customers providing preventative measures and solutions to resolve.
- Raise POs in SAP ECC through suggested requirements from SAP IBP.
- Review and assess variations to forecasts, supply in flight commentary and management of risk & opportunities to internal and external parties.
- Generate weekly Supply plan to Brand owner, identify any constraints to the Supply plan.
- Work with Finance team to resolve Brand-Owners’ price queries on invoices.
- Monitor stock levels vs inventory targets, working proactively with Business Unit & Demand Planner.
Monitor and manage KPIs
- Effectively manage SKU count, reporting any increases to targets.
- Proactively identify slow moving and obsolete material risks, report and follow up by closely working with your commercial teams.
Experience:
- Strong attention to detail with an advanced level of competency in Microsoft Excel and experienced in using SAP ECC.
- Demonstrates ownership in resolving issues, collaborating effectively with all stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Able to prioritise workload, delivering key weekly tasks accurately and proficiently.
- Highly articulate with excellent written and oral communication skills and comfortable dealing with external and internal cross-functional business teams.
