Westray Recruitment Consultants is looking to recruit a Time Served Mechanically Biased Maintenance Technician’s for our high-volume manufacturing client based in Washington, Tyne & Wear. The roles centre on a 2-shift pattern of day and back shift. What’s more,these are permanent roles from day one.
We are seeking an individuals who are able to deliver mechanical planned and reactive maintenance to production-based machinery.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?
Reacting quickly to breakdowns, communicating clearly with affected parties and working efficiently to fix the issue
Ensuring maintenance records are kept up to date
Being involved in New Product or Equipment development where appropriate
Maintenance of hydraulic systems
Displaying multi skilling to perform basic electrical duties
Ensuring all mechanical work is completed in accordance to H&S protocol and industry expected standards
Delivering planned and breakdown maintenance to high volume manufacturing machinery
Mechanical fault finding and diagnostic work
Working with PLC systems
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
Having sound manual skills and an interest or ability to work with mechanical and hydraulic systems
Time Served - College/Apprentice Level 3 Trained in desired trade or discipline, must be Mechanical.
Experience working within a fast paced, high volume production environment
WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLE?
These are permanent positions. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm (rotating week to week). The role come with an early finish on a Friday and they centre on a 40-hr week.
WHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVING
The salary for these roles is £36.5K per annum and they come with readily available overtime paid at enhanced rates of time & ½ & double time.
