Volumetric Batcher Driver

Cardinalis Concrete is a leading supplier of site-mixed concrete in the East of England, covering Cambridge, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Peterborough, Wisbech, Saffron Walden and Huntingdon.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Volumetric Batcher Driver, based in Longstanton.

Reporting to our Transport Manager, we're looking for someone to deliver our high quality site-mixed concrete in an effective and timely manner, displaying the highest standards of customer service and self-management at all times.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of site mixed concrete to various locations
- Complete daily vehicle checks whilst keeping the truck in a safe and clean condition
- Work in accordance with safe practices and legislation with regards to driver hours and the Working Time Directive
- Complete required delivery documentation with high attention to detail
- Batching of quality approved concrete
- Utilising best routes to achieve delivery targets in the most efficient way
- General truck maintenance
- Loading shovel driving duties
- Building client relations

- Good geographical knowledge would be beneficial

**Required Qualifications**:

- HGV Driving licence
- Mechanical knowledge for ordering of parts and identifying problems associatedwith lorries
- Loading shovel

- Driving a Goods Vehicle: 1 year (preferred)
- Driving: 1 year (preferred)
