**Baby Room Leader**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Promoting high quality childcare to all children in line with the EYFS
- Understand and support good practices around Inclusion and special educational needs and disabilities.
- Understanding of planning responsibilities within the room to deliver the EYFS curriculum
- Communicating with parents, carers and local authorities where necessary
- Encouraging staff teams to build positive relationships with parents and carers and provide advice and support to help them do this, if needed.
- Keeping children safe and healthy by minimising any risks throughout the setting. This involves keeping the setting clean and free of danger, with the help of your staff as well as maintaining the nursery healthy eating/body ethos
- Maintaining strong and positive relationships with members of your team.
- Assigning and delegating tasks to complete within your room team
- Ensuring paperwork is completed in a timely manner, including observations and progress checkers.
- Working alongside the nursery manager to deliver staff training and supervisions of your team

Skills required:

- Great communication skills with both children and adults
- Able to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Strong leadership skills
- A good role model for both staff and children
- Readily supportive of others and willing to suggest new ideas and solve problems.
- Patient and calm in busy, stressful situations
- Sound knowledge of baby development

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 - 35 per week

**Salary**: £10.42-£11.50 per hour
