We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a librarian for staff and students within community services at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT). You will provide high quality services for evidence based practice, research, personal development, and well-being.
In this role you will join an experienced team in a combined Knowledge and Library Service (KLS), which covers both South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust and George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. While you will be based at Warwick Hospital, it is expected that you will visit the SWFT community sites, and occasionally George Eliot Hospital.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering knowledge and library services and is able to establish new relationships with our community teams. In previous roles you will have shown yourself to be confident and creative in liaising with teams and advocating for knowledge services.
The post holder will also be a qualified Librarian with a degree or equivalent. You will have knowledge of working in libraries and be willing to work towards CILIP Chartership. Knowledge of health libraries, while beneficial, is not essential. You must be a proven team player and be able to supervise junior members of staff, or deputise for the KLS Manager.
The post holder will support the provision of Knowledge and Library Services (KLS) at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and South Warwickshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, including purchasing and cataloguing appropriate books, providing literature searches and information skills training. The post holder will work closely with the KLS team and Trust colleagues to support and promote evidence-based health care and ensure that the William Harvey Library meets user needs. The post is based at Warwick Hospital but may occasionally be required to work at George Eliot Hospital.
