Due to growth here at Adler and Allan, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to be based out of our Headquarters in the city centre of Harrogate. We are just a 2-minute walk from the train station, with free onsite parking if you drive.

You will report to our Group Payroll Manager and will be assisting with the Group’s monthly & weekly payrolls (approx. 1000 staff) ensuring staff are paid accurately and in line with any current legislation. Working closely with the existing Payroll Administrator and be required to liaise regularly with the HR Team to ensure close co-ordination and co-operation between the two related departments.

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm totalling 37.5 hours per week, with a 1-hour unpaid meal break. However, the post holder will be required to devote sufficient time to ensure all duties are carried out efficiently, which may require attendance to the office or to be available to fulfil this function outside these hours.

**Your day will look like this**:

- Preparation and input of payroll data to include the creation of employee records on the HR/Payroll systems and new employee posts/job titles when required
- Minimum wage checks
- Payroll checking and reconciling
- Pensions administration and assessments in line with auto-enrolment
- Production and distribution of payslips, P45s & P60s
- Production and distribution of payroll reports
- Assisting staff with pay related queries
- Preparation and distribution of overtime templates
- Maintaining mileage records for company vehicles
- Updating employees allocated vehicle records and submitting P46(car) changes to HMRC
- Benefits administration - maintaining membership lists for various company benefits
- Assisting with annual P11D and PSA reporting
- Payroll statistics as may be required by the Office of National Statistics
- All payroll filing
- Any other task as assigned by the Group Payroll Manager or Group Financial Controller

**How you can help us with your experience**:

- A minimum of two years payroll experience to include starters, leavers, statutory pay and leave, and other day to day payroll activities associated with both pre and post payroll preparation and admin
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Up to date knowledge of statutory requirements for PAYE/NIC
- Handling pay related queries from staff
- Ability to manage your own workload and work under pressure to achieve payroll deadlines
- Right to work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence but not essential
- Good communication skills and confidence to communicate at all levels of the business
- Experience of payroll accounting, HMRC treatment of company vehicles, P11Ds, Automatic Enrolment and pensions administration would be advantageous
- Knowledge of SelectPay or SelectHR desirable but not essential
